Shannon Sargent

Shannon is a talented, multi-faceted designer with nearly 20 years of varied experiences in the industry of building and remodeling. Working as a professional custom color matcher for 4 years yielded a discriminating eye for color and her ability to help clients navigate color selections for all areas of their homes. She uses skills she learned while working as a faux finish painter and mural artist to approach designing rooms as functional works of art with texture, balance, emphasis and proportion. With over 15 years designing and sewing window treatments, she possesses a vast knowledge base she uses with clients to create one of a kind custom window coverings that meet all the criteria for function, aesthetics, privacy and light control. Shannon also has extensive experience designing and managing residential projects from one room remodels to luxury new home construction, and commercial projects such as retail stores, a photography studio, educational facilities, and lending institutions.

Shannon's educational background is as well rounded as her vast experience. Graduating magna cum laude from Gustavus Adolphus College with a major in Education and a minor in Psychology fosters her ability to communicate clearly with clients, contractors and vendors through every step of the process, resulting in smooth transitions from start to completion. Her ability to listen to her client's needs and desires allows her to be a versatile designer who is able to design exceptional spaces that reflect the client's style whether that is contemporary, traditional, or anything in between. Her dedication to learning also promotes a desire to stay current with industry trends which she employs to create cutting edge designs with the newest products and technology. She graduated summa cum laude with a second degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited college, is an allied member of ASID, and has earned the status of AKBD through NKBA as a kitchen and bath designer.

Her passion and love of design lead her to volunteer with Cabrini Partnership in Minneapolis to design welcoming homes in transitional housing facilities for the homeless. She also headed a team of designers in a global design contest for Walt Disney ImagiNations competition and placed 5th out of over 125 entries.
